The NEET-UG 2026 paper leak investigation has widened dramatically, with the Central Bureau of Investigation now probing a Rajasthan family whose members allegedly secured multiple medical admissions over the past two years.
At the centre of the investigation are Dinesh Bival alias Dinesh Lambe and his brother Mangilal from Jamwaramgarh near Jaipur. Investigators suspect the family may have been deeply linked to a larger organised paper leak network.
Coaching hub link exposed in probe
The investigation intensified after Rajasthan Police questioned Rakesh Mandwaria, who operates RK Consultancy in Sikar, a major coaching centre for medical aspirants.
Officials suspect the consultancy acted as a key circulation point for the leaked “guess paper” before the NEET examination. During questioning, Mandwaria allegedly claimed he obtained the paper from Dinesh and Mangilal for around Rs 15 lakh.
The leaked material reportedly spread rapidly among coaching students before a whistleblower alerted the National Testing Agency.
Five medical admissions raise suspicion
Investigators became suspicious after discovering that at least five members of the extended family had reportedly secured admissions into government medical colleges since 2025.
According to officials, Mangilal’s son Vikas allegedly obtained leaked material last year through Yash Yadav, a Gurugram-based Ayurvedic medicine student.
The probe now suggests Vikas later became an intermediary himself, allegedly sourcing the 2026 paper and passing it to family members and students connected to coaching institutes.
CBI examines larger network
Investigators are also examining whether the same network operated during the 2025 NEET examination cycle.
The alleged “guess paper” reportedly contained over 100 questions closely matching the final examination paper. Authorities believe encrypted messaging platforms were used for circulation across multiple states.
Following the controversy, the NEET-UG 2026 examination was cancelled, affecting more than 22 lakh candidates nationwide.#NEET2026 #CBI #PaperLeak #EducationNews #Rajasthan #newskarnataka
