Farmer Beheaded Over Grazing Dispute In Tamil Nadu; Three Arrested

On Tuesday, police arrested three men in connection with the brutal beheading of a farmer in Virudhunagar district, Tamil Nadu. The incident occurred after a confrontation between the victim, 49-year-old Poovaiah, and one of the suspects, Thalapathy, 21. A few days earlier, Poovaiah had beaten Thalapathy for allowing his uncle’s cow to graze in his paddy field.

In retaliation, Thalapathy, along with his uncle Balakrishnan and relative Eswaran, 19, attacked Poovaiah on his farm. The trio used a sickle to hack the farmer and beheaded him. They then disposed of the torso in the Pulpathi hill area and the head near the Mudangiyaru bridge.
