A fire ignited at the renowned ‘Hollong Bungalow’ in Alipurduar district, West Bengal, on Tuesday evening, according to officials.

The blaze, which started around 9 pm at the popular tourist lodge within Jaldapara National Park, did not result in any injuries or fatalities, officials confirmed.

Chief Wildlife Warden Debal Roy informed PTI that two fire tenders were deployed to extinguish the flames.

The extent of damage to the property has yet to be determined.

“The cause of the fire will be identified following a forensic investigation… There have been no reports of injuries, deaths, or immediate threats to wildlife in the vicinity,” Roy stated.
