Who is Saurabh Netravalkar?

Born in Mumbai on October 16, 1991, Netravalkar represented the Indian U19 team in the 2010 World Cup. However, fierce competition in India led him to explore opportunities abroad. He moved to the United States in 2015, and nearly a decade later, he made history in cricket by leading the USA to victory against Pakistan.

Netravalkar, a former Ranji Trophy player for Mumbai, showcased his talent as a left-arm pacer, delivering pace and bounce against Pakistan. Balancing his cricketing aspirations with his profession as a Senior Software Engineer at Oracle was a complex task, but his determination saw him excel in both fields.

In a poetic reversal of fate, Netravalkar, who once faced disappointment at the hands of Pakistan in the U19 World Cup, led the USA to a stunning victory against Babar’s Pakistan at the 2024 T20 World Cup.
