Guwahati: Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani has contributed ₹11 crore to the Assam Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to support relief and rehabilitation efforts for people affected by the devastating floods that have impacted several parts of the state.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced the contribution on Friday, thanking the industrialist for extending support during one of the state’s worst flood crises in recent years.

In a post on X, Sarma said he was “heartened” to learn that Gautam Adani had made an online contribution of ₹11 crore to strengthen the state’s ongoing relief operations.
The Chief Minister also praised Adani for what he described as a quiet and compassionate approach to philanthropy, stating that the donation was made without seeking public attention.
According to Sarma, the Adani Group Chairman is also mobilising additional resources to assist thousands of flood-affected families across the state.
Relief efforts continue across Assam
Sarma said the contribution would strengthen the government’s ongoing relief and rehabilitation measures for people displaced by the floods.
He added that donations to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund have continued to pour in from individuals, organisations and institutions across the country since floods caused widespread devastation in several districts.
The Chief Minister assured contributors that every rupee received would be utilised transparently for relief, rehabilitation and rebuilding the lives of affected families.
Floods leave widespread damage
Assam has witnessed extensive flooding in recent weeks, displacing thousands of people and causing significant damage to homes, roads, embankments, agricultural land and other public infrastructure.
The state government continues to carry out relief operations while restoring essential services in the affected areas.
The latest contribution from the Adani Group is expected to further strengthen these efforts and provide additional support to flood-hit communities.
