Spearhead Media Pvt. Ltd. bags PRCI Chanakya Media house of the year award

Goa: “Goa government has always been supportive of media. The welfare scheme for journalists already exists in the State, said Chief minister Pramod Savant at the 15th Global Communication Conclave, ‘Communication for new decade, Mapping the Megatrends’ here at Hotel Fern Kadamba, Panjim, Goa on Friday September 17 from 4.00 pm.

As a chief guest speaking at this programme jointly organised by the Public Relations Council of India (PRCI) and Young Communicators Club (YCC), Savant said we also offer 5 lakhs compensation to the families of the deceased journalists. And also provide laptops cameras to the mediapersons as well.”

Further, he declared that Goa is Covid – 19 free state in India. “After Himachal Pradesh, Goa is the only State in India which has achieved 100% vaccination.”

He said, “Goa is blessed with great communicator personalities such as Mario Miranda, and great artistes like Latha Mangeshkar, etc. He lauded PRCI for motivating communicators, social activists and media professionals by presenting such awards.

“PRCI discusses various dimensions of best communication practices involving public relations and communications in the Government and industrial sectors,” he added.

After presenting the Chankaya awards he congratulated all the winners for their achievements especially amid the challenging times of Covid – 19 and encouraged them to work better in the future in their particular fields.

In his concluding remarks, he stressed the media persons to spread the message that Goa is ready to welcome the tourists in the state. He said, “We have requested the Union Government to offer special charter planes for tourism purposes. The people who have completed double dose Covid – 19 vaccinations are allowed in the state.”

Chanakya Awards List

Goa CM Pramod Savant presented the Chanakya awards on this occasion to Dilip Borkoer president of the Press Club of Goa, Ananth Joshi secretary-general Press Club of Goa, Srushti Nandgaonker, corona warrior, Vishwanath Vaze, Sadhuru Patil, and Kalika Jain.

Kishore Naik Gaonker bagged the Chanakya media personality of the year award. PR excellence in international relations award was given to Bibabasu Kumar. The most promising communication person of the year awards was presented to Akshat Chopra, Madhusmita Banerjee received the award for excellence in creating sustainable employment generation, Excellence in media coordination award was received by Niranjan S. and Investigation journalism award by Prasanna Devnur of Bengaluru, while Nagaraj Hebbar won Resume content award.

Jury special award for environment care was given to Dr. Bhupalan Sunil, Best in communication and information technology (digital media) award was received by Department of ITNC Telangana, Covid 19 Government Hero of the year award was given to K.V. Usha C. Charan MLA of Andhra Pradesh. A good governance award was given to Anandi Ramalingam, director BEL, and Dr. Mahantesh G. K. bagged Global Indian of the year award. Communicator of the year award (Music) was given to Hamsaleskha from Bengaluru, and Communicator of the year effective Government communications award was presented to Anush Dayal of Delhi Metro.

Dr. Anilkumar was honoured with the award Covid 19 public service hero. The best healthcare communication award was given to Dr. Mahantesh Charantimath. The best story of environment awareness award was given to Deepika Singh, while Janasnehi became the Social media forum of the year.

Communicator of the year award (corporate branding) was given to Sanjeev Ramdev, Ruby Ahluvalia got an award in Health communication, Media personality of the year (Electronic Media) award given to HN Aarati senior producer Doordarshan Karnataka, and Juby Thomas bagged the award in Excellence in research education.
