Simultaneously, in another tragic event at the Siraspur underpass near SP Badali area, two boys drowned in waterlogged conditions during Saturday afternoon. The underpass, inundated with 2.5-3 feet of water, became the site of the incident, highlighting the perilous consequences of the ongoing heavy rainfall in the Delhi-NCR region.

The incessant downpours, providing relief from the intense summer heat, have also led to widespread disruption. Reports include submerged cars on waterlogged streets and uprooted trees across the region. The Indian Meteorological Department confirmed the onset of monsoon in Delhi-NCR and predicted continued heavy to very heavy rainfall in northern India over the next four to five days.
