Nagpur: An IndiGo flight travelling from Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh to Hyderabad was diverted to Nagpur following a bomb threat, the airline confirmed on Sunday. The incident triggered a swift response from the airline and security agencies to ensure the safety of all on board.
The airline assured that all passengers on flight 6E 7308 were safe. Upon landing in Nagpur, all passengers were deplaned, and a thorough search operation was initiated as per security protocols. IndiGo’s statement mentioned, “Flight 6E 7308 operating from Jabalpur to Hyderabad was diverted to Nagpur due to a bomb threat. Upon landing, all passengers were disembarked, and mandatory security checks were promptly initiated. Passengers were provided with assistance and refreshments.”
Security agencies carried out a comprehensive check of the aircraft, and further investigations are ongoing to trace the origin of the threat. The passengers, though inconvenienced, were given necessary assistance, and their safety remained the top priority during the entire operation.
