In a heartbreaking incident in Rajasthan’s Bharatpur district, a 10-month-old baby girl lost her life after accidentally falling into a pot of hot milk at her home.

The incident occurred around noon on Thursday in Behramda village under the Nadbai police station limits. The infant, identified as Chandni, was the daughter of Satyabhan.

Tragic accident at home

According to police, the child was playing alone on a bed while her mother had kept a pot of hot milk nearby to cool. In a sudden turn of events, the infant fell from the bed into the vessel.

Hearing her cries, the mother rushed back and found the baby severely burnt. She immediately alerted her husband, and the couple rushed the child to a nearby hospital.

Severe burns prove fatal

Doctors stated that the child had suffered nearly 80 per cent burn injuries. Despite efforts to save her, she was declared dead at the hospital.

The family later declined to conduct a post-mortem examination.

Police confirm incident

Local police officials, including Nadbai SHO Arun Singh, confirmed the details of the incident, stating that it was an accidental death. Further formalities are being carried out as per procedure.
