Hyderabad: Senior IPS officer and Deputy Director of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, Hyderabad Madhukar Shetty passed away on Friday evening. He was 47.
Madhukar Shetty was recently admitted to a Hyderabad hospital with symptoms of H1N1. However, it was later said that he was battling heart-related complications.
His condition deteriorated on Wednesday. He was put on ECMO life support system on Thursday. Sources said he was responding to the treatment, but he breathed his last on Friday late evening.
Madhukar Shetty, 1999 batch IPS officer is the son of well known Kannada journalist late Vaddarse Raghuram Shetty.
Known as an upright and people-friendly cop, Shetty served as the SP of Chikmagalur District and Karnataka Lokayukta.
