In Jagtial, Telangana, staff at the district headquarters hospital are facing an enquiry after they danced during Christmas celebrations on Friday. The staff performed near the patients’ ward, halting only when they noticed media cameras. Reports suggest that the Resident Medical Officer, Suman, had granted permission for the dance, citing a lack of work at the time.

Upon learning of the incident, Additional Collector Goutham Reddy visited the hospital for a preliminary enquiry. He expressed disapproval, stating that it was inappropriate to dance during duty hours, regardless of the workload. Reddy instructed hospital officials to conduct a formal investigation into the matter.

This incident has sparked a discussion about maintaining professionalism while balancing festive celebrations in healthcare environments. The enquiry will determine if any actions are needed based on hospital guidelines.
