New Delhi: Bihar Chief Minister leader Nitish Kumar was reportedly offered the prime ministerial post by the Opposition INDIA bloc following the Lok Sabha election results, according to party leader KC Tyagi in an exclusive interview with NDTV. This revelation comes amid ongoing speculation about the INDIA bloc’s attempts to lure Nitish Kumar back into their fold to prevent the NDA from securing a third consecutive term in government.

However, Tyagi clarified that the JDU has turned down all such proposals from the opposition, expressing their commitment to the NDA for the next five years. He emphasized that Nitish Kumar’s public support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi should dispel any rumors about his political allegiance.

“We were disappointed by the treatment our leader received from Congress and its allies, which led us to pursue a different path. Those who previously doubted Nitish Kumar’s suitability as the alliance convenor are now offering him the Prime Minister’s post. But we have rejected all such offers,” Tyagi stated.
