Jammu: Manoj Sinha, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, chaired a significant security review session on Saturday, joined by Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi. The meeting, attended by various heads of security and law enforcement agencies, focused primarily on the security scenario in the Jammu division.
In addition to General Upendra Dwivedi, the attendees included the Director Generals of BSF and CRPF, the Director General of Police for Jammu & Kashmir, heads of intelligence agencies, and other senior officials from the Army, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and J&K Police.
During the meeting, Lt Governor Sinha emphasized the need for proactive and coordinated counter-terrorism operations in Jammu Division. “We must execute detailed and meticulously planned counter-terror operations with enhanced synergy among all agencies to eliminate terrorists and their supporters,” he asserted.
He further instructed that the security framework should be bolstered to prevent any cross-border infiltration.
