A tourist from Kerala died at SMHS Hospital on Wednesday, two days after he was admitted with complaints of chest pain and breathlessness.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Rashid Kutti, 55, a resident of Kerala.
Fell ill during stay in Srinagar
According to available information, Abdul Rashid Kutti had been staying at a hotel in the Muniwar area of Srinagar when he developed health complications.
He was shifted to SMHS Hospital for treatment after experiencing chest pain and difficulty in breathing.
Died during treatment
Hospital sources said he remained under medical care for two days before passing away on Wednesday.
The exact medical cause of death has not been officially detailed.
