New Delhi: The I.N.D.I.A. alliance, in a strategic move on Wednesday, sought to expand its coalition by inviting all parties that align with the core values of the Constitution, highlighting economic, social, and political justice. This outreach occurred as the NDA elected Narendra Modi as its Prime Ministerial nominee.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge extended the invitation during a meeting of I.N.D.I.A. constituents to outline the alliance’s post-poll strategy. Kharge accused Prime Minister Modi of attempting to undermine the clear mandate against him.

“We fought well, unitedly, and with resolve. The mandate is decisively against Modi, his politics, and his approach. This represents a significant political loss and a clear moral defeat for him. Yet, he remains intent on subverting the people’s will,” Kharge asserted.

Kharge reiterated the I.N.D.I.A. Alliance’s commitment to the principles enshrined in the Preamble of the Constitution and its provisions for justice. “The I.N.D.I.A. Alliance welcomes all parties committed to these fundamental values,” he stated in his opening remarks.

The meeting saw the attendance of thirty-three leaders from various parties, including Congress, NCP, AAP, CPI(ML)L, DMK, SP, Trinamool Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), RJD, CPI(M), CPI, JMM, National Conference, Muslim League, Kerala Congress (M), VCK, RSP, MMK, Forward Bloc, and KMDK.

Prominent leaders present included Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav, Sharad Pawar, Tejashwi Yadav, Sitaram Yechury, Sanjay Raut (Shiv Sena UBT), MK Stalin,  Abhishek Banerjee, D Raja, Kalpana Soren, Sanjay Singh, Dipankar Bhattacharya, NK Premachandran, and G Devarajan.
