A special Kumbh Mela train, set to depart from Varanasi Cantt to Prayagraj, encountered a shocking overcrowding issue late Saturday night. The train, already packed beyond its capacity, was preparing to leave around 1:30 AM from platform number 2 when passengers began climbing onto the engine in a desperate attempt to board.

As the train was set to embark on its journey, the situation quickly escalated, with more people attempting to get on despite the already overcrowded conditions. The overcrowding on the train reached dangerous levels, with passengers taking extreme measures to secure a spot, even resorting to climbing onto the engine.

The situation has raised serious concerns about passenger safety and the management of special trains during large events like the Kumbh Mela. Such incidents not only endanger the lives of the passengers but also highlight the urgent need for better crowd control and coordination during major religious gatherings.

Authorities are expected to investigate the incident and take steps to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
