The event transpired around 4 AM on the night of May 24-25 near Jatpura Bonda village along the Najibabad highway, falling within the jurisdiction of the Mandawali Police Station. According to police reports, the truck’s driver swerved to avoid a sudden appearance of a cow on the road, leading to the collision with a tree after grazing against an unidentified vehicle.

Following the impact, liquor bottles were strewn across the road, some shattered while others remained intact. Rather than offering aid to the injured, individuals flocked to the scene upon hearing of the accident, prioritizing the salvaging of undamaged bottles. Disturbingly, a viral video captures this selfish frenzy while disregarding the plight of those in need.

Upon notification of the accident, law enforcement swiftly responded, gathering the spilled bottles with the assistance of locals and deploying personnel to safeguard the remaining cargo. The truck’s driver received immediate medical attention, and traffic was soon restored to normalcy.

The vehicle owner promptly lodged a report at the Mandawali police station, attributing the incident to the truck’s abrupt loss of control, resulting in significant damage to the alcohol cargo. Authorities have informed the excise department, and legal measures are underway to address the situation.
