Hyderabad: In order to help facilitate the transport of a live heart, the Hyderabad Traffic Police had created a 6-km-stretch green corridor on Friday, August 9 night.
A “green corridor” is a special road route that enables harvested organs meant for transplants to reach the hospital.
The live heart was transported with the help of an ambulance from Banjara Hills to the Care Hospital located in Nampally.
The journey, which usually takes around 15 minutes with normal traffic, was covered in just 10 minutes.
