In Lucknow, a school van driver has been arrested following a serious complaint involving a minor student, according to authorities. The incident reportedly occurred on July 14 and was registered at Indiranagar Police Station. The accused has been identified as Mohd Arif, while the school manager, Sandeep Kumar, is also named in the complaint for allegedly attempting to suppress the matter.

The child’s mother stated that she noticed signs of distress in her daughter and raised the issue with the school. However, her concerns were allegedly dismissed, and she was advised not to file a complaint, citing the school’s reputation and her child’s future. She added that despite waiting for the school to act, no steps were taken, prompting her to approach the police.

The police have booked the accused under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, and the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. A medical examination was conducted, and further investigation is underway.

The family has also alleged verbal intimidation and threats, which are being examined as part of the case. Authorities have confirmed that the matter will be heard in the High Court, and necessary legal action will follow based on the investigation.
