A viral video from February 9 has raised serious concerns about road safety in Hyderabad after luxury SUVs were seen performing reckless stunts in the middle of the Outer Ring Road. The footage shows a Toyota Fortuner driving in circles in the middle lane of the five-lane road, while a BMW follows suit by performing similar maneuvers before pulling aside.

The bizarre scene, which quickly gained traction on social media, drew widespread criticism from viewers alarmed by the danger posed by such reckless driving. A police officer from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) revealed that the drivers had deliberately removed their number plates to evade identification during the stunts. However, police were able to trace the suspects through CCTV footage, which clearly captured their faces.

Following an investigation, the police arrested the two individuals involved. The accused were identified as Mohammed Obaidullah (25) from Rajendranagar and Zohair Siddiqui (25) from Malakpet. According to the officer, Obaidullah and Siddiqui were performing dangerous stunts in two separate cars along the ORR stretch near Shamshabad, and the act was recorded by the CCTV cameras installed on the road.

The incident has highlighted the urgent need for stricter enforcement of road safety regulations, particularly against dangerous driving behaviors that endanger lives.
