Mumbai: Maggi has rolled out a playful new print advertising campaign that puts its familiar noodles at the centre of attention, using appetising visuals and cheeky copy to turn a simple craving into an invitation to eat.
Three steps from craving to eating
The campaign is built around three simple stages — ‘Whiff’, ‘Stare’ and ‘Enjoy’ — creating a playful journey from the first sensory attraction to the final bite.
The first execution, ‘Whiff’, focuses on the aroma of freshly prepared Maggi, using smell as the trigger for hunger. The second, ‘Stare’, features a close-up of the noodles with the playful line, “Still staring, aren’t you?”
The final execution, ‘Enjoy’, shows a fork lifting a generous portion of noodles. Its cheeky message asks, “Opened your mouth, haven’t you?” before inviting consumers to “Go on, enjoy your Maggi!”
Selling the craving, not the product
Unlike campaigns that focus on ingredients, nutrition or product features, the new ads rely almost entirely on familiarity and visual temptation.
The close-up food photography makes the noodles the hero, while the conversational messaging encourages consumers to imagine themselves taking the next bite. The campaign therefore needs little explanation of what Maggi is — the imagery does most of the work.
The simple progression — smell it, look at it, then eat it — gives the campaign an easy-to-understand idea while keeping the tone light and relatable.
