The list of the 50 Best Restaurants in Asia for 2024 was revealed on March 26, 2024, at a ceremony held in Seoul. Sezanne (Tokyo), Florilege (Tokyo), and Gaggan Anand (Bangkok) topped the list. This esteemed list included three Indian restaurants. Mumbai’s Masque came in at number 23, Delhi’s Indian Accent at number 26, and Chennai’s Avartana, ITC Grand Chola, came in at number 44. As a result, Masque has been crowned India’s Best Restaurant for the second year running. Chef Varun Totlani and restaurateur Aditi Dugar are in charge of it.

“Offering both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, Masque’s ten-course tasting menu showcases India’s rich produce, featuring dishes such as Kashmiri morels with patra or the sea buckthorn pani puri, reimagining traditional Indian flavours with inventive twists,” reads part of the announcement post. Avartana, Chennai took home the title of Highest New Entry on the List last year. View the rankings for 2023 in more detail here.
