Mumbai: The results of the Maharashtra Legislative Council (Vidhan Parishad) elections from local authorities’ constituuencies have been declared, with the ruling Mahayuti alliance registering a dominant performance by winning 16 of the 17 seats that went to polls. The outcome has further strengthened the position of the ruling coalition comprising the BJP, Shiv Sena and NCP in the state.
