In a major breakthrough, thirteen Naxalites, including a key committee member with a Rs 2 lakh bounty, were arrested in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district. The arrests took place in the Tarrem, Awapalli, and Jangla areas through coordinated operations by various security forces, including the District Reserve Guard (DRG), Special Task Force (STF), CRPF, and CoBRA units.

The arrested individuals, aged between 19 and 40, included Kosa Punem, a member of the Jagargunda area committee of the banned group. Along with the arrests, authorities seized tiffin bombs, explosive materials, and Maoist propaganda, marking a significant success in the fight against Naxalism in the region.
