A 45-year-old trolley auto driver, Pati Surender, died on Sunday after choking on a chicken piece while having lunch with his family in Gollapally, Yellareddypet mandal. The incident occurred in the KCR double-bedroom colony where the family resides.
According to villagers, Surender was eating a chicken curry meal when a large piece became lodged in his throat. He immediately experienced severe breathing difficulty, prompting his family members to attempt to remove the obstruction. Despite their efforts, Surender collapsed and died on the spot.

Surender, known locally for his work at a kirana store as a trolley auto driver, was at home for a routine afternoon meal when the unexpected medical emergency unfolded. Residents who later gathered at the home described the incident as deeply distressing, noting how quickly the situation escalated.
Family members and neighbours called for assistance, but by the time help arrived, Surender had already passed away. Local authorities have recorded the case as an accidental choking death.

Surender is survived by his wife, Kavitha, and two daughters, Ruchitha and Shirisha, who have been left devastated by the sudden loss. Community members have extended support to the bereaved family, highlighting Surender’s reputation as a hardworking and gentle individual.
