A tragic incident unfolded in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, where a man, Rajendra Gupta, went on a killing spree, murdering his wife, Neetu Gupta, and their three children—25-year-old son Navnendra, 16-year-old daughter Gaurangi, and 15-year-old son Subendra—while they were sleeping.
Rajendra, who was out on bail, reportedly shot and killed his family before leaving their home. His lifeless body was later discovered in the Rohaniya area, suggesting that he took his own life after the killings. Police were alerted after a distress call from tenants, and a team quickly responded, recovering the bodies and sending them for autopsy.
Initial investigations revealed that Rajendra and his wife had been in a dispute, though the exact motive for the crime is still under investigation.
