In a shocking incident, a 42-year-old man, Harish from Baliyavas, Gurugram, was fatally stabbed by his 27-year-old live-in partner, Yashmeet Kaur, following an ongoing dispute over his visits to his wife and children.
The couple had been living together in DLF Phase-3 for over a year. According to police, frequent arguments erupted between the two, particularly when Harish met his family. On Saturday night, one such argument turned violent, and Kaur allegedly stabbed Harish in the chest. He was rushed to a Gurugram hospital but succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Harish’s nephew, Bharat, told police that just hours before the incident, Harish came home from his job in Faridabad, took ₹7 lakh in cash, and left with another man, Vijay, who picked him up. Harish also called later around 10 PM, asking Bharat to collect and pay for a food delivery.
The next morning, Kaur called Bharat, informing him of Harish’s death. The police later recovered the murder weapon and arrested Kaur. Vijay is currently being questioned, as officials work to determine the reason behind the large cash withdrawal and whether there’s more to the case than a domestic dispute.
Investigations are ongoing.
