Complaint Filed and Legal Action Initiated
Prompted by the video, the father took action, filing a formal complaint with the police against his wife’s cruel behavior. He alleges that his attempts to intervene were met with threats from his wife, who even mentioned consuming poison and forcing it upon their child. Additionally, the child himself has filed a complaint against his mother with the Child Protection Commission.
Responding to the gravity of the situation, the Surajkund police station registered a case of cruelty against the mother as per directives from the Child Welfare Committee (CWC). Subsequently, following the registration of the case, the woman took her son and sought refuge at her mother’s residence. However, the child later provided a statement to the CWC, accusing his father of drug addiction. Authorities are investigating the influences behind these allegations.
Marital History and Escalating Abuse
In his formal complaint, the father reveals that he tied the knot with the Delhi-based doctor 17 years ago. He asserts that as their son grew older, his wife’s possessiveness escalated, leading to frequent arguments and instances of physical violence. He squarely holds her responsible for the abuse endured by their child.
Ongoing Investigation
SHO Shamsher Singh of the Surajkund police station stated that the child’s statement has yet to be recorded due to ongoing election duties. However, once obtained, further actions will be taken promptly to address the situation and ensure the safety and well-being of the child.
