The felicitation was presented by Taranjit Singh Tony, DDC Suchetgarh, along with Sheikh Shakeel. Tony said Rushmi Sharma’s life exemplified the spirit of Indian motherhood, adding that Sqn Ldr Hansja Sharma’s achievement was not just a personal success but a national moment reinforcing faith in women’s leadership in the armed forces.
Advocate Sheikh Shakeel said society often celebrates visible success but forgets the years of sacrifice behind it. He noted that the pilot’s entry into the Rudra helicopter unit reflected a mother’s courage, discipline and moral grounding.

Yuva Jat Sabha president Mandeep Choudhary called the achievement a proud milestone for youth, while political leader Anita Thakur described Rushmi Sharma as the true embodiment of Nari Shakti.
