A Mumbai auto-rickshaw driver has become an internet sensation by transforming his vehicle into a moving karaoke stage. In a viral video shared on Instagram, the driver is seen singing Bollywood classics, including the hit song “Phir Wahi Raat Hai” from the 1979 movie Ghar, as he cruises through the city. His auto features a sign with the words “Karaoke Autorickshaw,” alongside messages like “Please like, comment, and share” and “Google Search” on the roof, adding a unique touch to his creative endeavor.
Captured late Saturday night in the Juhu area, the clip quickly gained popularity, with many praising his love for music and creativity. One user commented, “Living his passion, even if driving a rickshaw — passion doesn’t pay bills, but more power to him!” Another said, “Even if you have a Ferrari, you can’t get this level of happiness.” Many others lauded his joyful spirit, with one remarking, “Happiness is a state of mind, not about owning material things.”
This follows similar viral stories of auto-rickshaws from different cities, like Pune, where a driver installed speakers, LED lights, and even an aquarium in his vehicle. In Bengaluru, another driver turned his rickshaw into a mini-library, offering passengers thought-provoking books.
