A 57-year-old tourist from Mumbai died after suddenly collapsing during a family sightseeing trip in Sonamarg on Saturday, officials said.
The deceased has been identified as Muhammad Raees Siddiqui, son of Muhammad Sharif, a resident of Mumbai. He had arrived in Sonamarg with his family for leisure.
Collapsed during visit
According to officials, Siddiqui was travelling with his family and visiting local spots when he suddenly collapsed inside his vehicle. Family members and locals immediately sought medical help.
He was rushed to the Primary Health Centre in Sonamarg for emergency treatment. However, doctors at the facility declared him brought dead.

The sudden incident turned what was meant to be a holiday into a moment of deep grief for the family. Relatives accompanying Siddiqui were left shocked by the unexpected loss.
