New Delhi: In a heartwarming gesture of communal harmony, Shabbir, a Muslim man, created a unique wedding invitation for his daughter Saima’s upcoming nuptials by including images of Hindu deities on the invitation card. Saima is set to marry Irfan, son of Abdul Sattar, from the village of Senpur Post Sothi Maharajganj, Rae Bareli, on November 8.
Shabbir, also known as “Tiger” in his community, decided to design a special invitation card for his Hindu friends and neighbours, as a way of extending his invitation in a manner that would resonate with them. “I designed the invitation card with images of Lord Ganesha and Lord Krishna to invite my Hindu brothers in a way that respects their traditions,” he explained.
This inclusive approach to the wedding invitation highlights Shabbir’s respect for Hindu customs and reflects a broader message of unity across religious communities. His thoughtful action has garnered appreciation and serves as a reminder of the shared values that connect diverse communities in India.
