New Delhi: After Lok Sabha election results are out, both leaders from NDA and INDIA bloc are continuing to hold marathon meetings in the national capital on Thursday as well.

On Wednesday, INDIA bloc leaders’ decision was announced by AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge that they would wait-and-watch and decided to take appropriate  steps at the right time to fulfill the people’s desire not to be governed by the BJP. The statement means that the INDIA bloc may not try to form the next government in the centre as of now.

In the midst of discussions regarding Cabinet formation, all NDA Members of Parliament are scheduled to meet at 11 am on Friday in the central hall of Parliament. The meeting will also include NDA leaders, some Chief Ministers, deputy Chief Ministers, and party allies’ office bearers. Earlier in the day, BJP leaders Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh gathered at party chief J P Nadda’s residence to plan a strategy for discussions with allies and to outline plans for Cabinet formation.

Attention is particularly focused on the demands expected from key NDA allies, TDP and JD(U), as the alliance prepares to form the government. The TDP, led by N Chandrababu Naidu, is anticipated to request a special category status for Andhra Pradesh, Cabinet positions including one for his son in the new government, and funding for the Amaravati capital city project. Concurrently, Nitish Kumar’s JD(U) aims to use its 12 seats to negotiate significant portfolios in the Cabinet, with a particular interest in securing the Railways ministry.
