New Delhi: Following the chargesheeting of Goldy Brar in the Karni Sena chief murder case, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) intensified its efforts by conducting raids at nine locations across Punjab. These searches targeted individuals associated with designated terrorist Goldy Brar in connection with a case related to extortion and firing incidents linked to Chandigarh. The NIA urged the public to come forward with any information regarding Brar and his gang, providing dedicated telephone numbers for reporting.

The raids, spanning locations in Mohali, Patiala, Hoshiarpur, and Fatehgarh Sahib, aimed to gather evidence against Goldy Brar and his accomplices. The agency emphasized its commitment to dismantling criminal-terrorist activities in India, citing ongoing investigations into the extortion and shooting incident in Chandigarh earlier this year.

According to NIA findings, Goldy Brar and his associate Goldy from Rajpura had conspired to extort money from businessmen in Punjab and surrounding areas. They were allegedly involved in arms trafficking, narcotics trade, and recruiting youth for criminal activities. The agency seized incriminating material and digital devices during the searches.

The NIA reiterated its determination to disrupt the operations of terrorist gangs operating within the country, emphasizing the need for continued investigation to dismantle the nexus between terrorism and organized crime.
