THIRUVANANTHAPURAM – A ninth-grade student, Aloknath, was found unresponsive in his bedroom on Saturday morning. His mother discovered him lying motionless on the floor and, with assistance from a nurse known to the family, attempted first aid. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Visible bruises marked his body, and his room was in disarray, with possessions scattered haphazardly. His father, employed in the Middle East, was away, while he resided with his mother and younger sister, a kindergarten student. His grandparents, who live nearby, were devastated and stated that he had shown no signs of distress.
Although preliminary inquiries suggest suicide, the exact circumstances remain uncertain. A post-mortem examination is expected to provide further clarity. In the meantime, law enforcement has sealed his room, initiated a detailed probe, and retrieved his mobile phone for forensic examination.
