A PhD scholar who works a regular 9-to-5 job and drives a bike taxi until late at night has become an internet sensation after sharing how stepping out of his comfort zone transformed his life.
Deepak Pandey’s story gained attention through a viral Instagram video in which he revealed how he manages multiple responsibilities, including a full-time corporate job, doctoral research, content creation and evening bike taxi rides.
From exhaustion to purpose
According to Pandey, there was a time when he would finish work feeling exhausted, unmotivated and stuck in a routine. However, he decided to challenge his own limitations by pursuing a PhD, starting a side hustle as a bike taxi rider and creating content online.
He said the biggest obstacle was not a lack of time but the fear of trying something new and the fear of failure. By overcoming those concerns, he discovered he was capable of achieving far more than he had imagined.
Balancing work, research and side income
After completing his office job each day, Pandey spends his evenings providing bike taxi services, often continuing until around 11 pm. Alongside this, he works on his doctoral studies, cooks his own meals and produces digital content.
In his viral message, he encouraged people not to use tiredness as an excuse to abandon their goals and urged them to take the first step towards their ambitions.
Internet applauds his dedication
The story has struck a chord with many social media users, with several praising his discipline, work ethic and positive outlook. Others said his journey demonstrated that pursuing additional goals does not always require quitting a stable job.
His experience has also sparked conversations about India’s growing side-hustle culture, where professionals increasingly combine traditional careers with entrepreneurial ventures, research pursuits and gig-economy opportunities.#PhDScholar #BikeTaxi #Inspiration #SideHustle #WorkLife #ViralStory #newskarnataka
