Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Thursday, issued a firm warning that India’s doctrine on Pakistan-sponsored terrorism would be enforced without compromise. In a strongly worded statement, seen as directed at international observers, Modi declared that no external pressure would be allowed to derail India’s fight against cross-border terror.
He emphasized India’s unwavering resolve: “This is India’s firm decision, and no force on Earth can break it.” This declaration comes in the backdrop of former US President Donald Trump’s earlier claim that his intervention helped avert a military escalation between India and Pakistan, including the threat of nuclear confrontation.
Modi was blunt in dismissing such nuclear fears, stating, “India will not be intimidated by nuclear blackmail.” He directly cautioned Pakistan’s military establishment, reinforcing India’s stance against terrorism and signalling that threats of nuclear weapon use would not deter national security actions.
The comments underscore New Delhi’s position that terror as a state policy will not be tolerated, regardless of international diplomatic pressures or concerns.
