Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited input from a segment of the populace to help shape the agenda of the Union government’s “Viksit Bharat” (developed India) initiative.

In a communication issued on the eve of the forthcoming general elections, the PM expressed, “I eagerly anticipate your ideas, suggestions, and backing as we endeavor to realize the vision of constructing a Viksit Bharat.”

Seeking a third term in office, the PM has set a goal of securing over 400 seats for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its coalition partners. The BJP’s developmental agenda and the commitment to a Viksit Bharat by 2047 serve as significant electoral platforms.

The Viksit Bharat agenda, drafted by the PM, aims to facilitate “social transformations, technological advancements, and economic reforms to elevate India’s standing on the global stage.”

Addressing his communication to “my esteemed fellow citizens,” aligning with the BJP’s “Modi Ka Parivaar” (Modi’s family) narrative, the PM remarked, “Our association is on the brink of completing a decade. The trust and backing of 1.4 billion Indians are a constant source of inspiration for me.”

He attributed the government’s schemes and initiatives for the “metamorphosis witnessed in the lives of the people,” hailing it as “the foremost accomplishment of our administration over the past decade.”

Additionally, the PM acknowledged the voters’ “confidence and support” as instrumental in enabling the government to undertake “epoch-making and pivotal decisions” such as the GST implementation, abrogation of Article 370, enactment of a new law on Triple Talaq, Nari Shakti Vandan Act, and robust measures against terrorism and Left-Wing Extremism.

“The essence of democracy lies in Janbhagidari or public participation. Your backing empowers me to undertake decisive actions for the nation’s well-being, devise ambitious strategies, and execute them seamlessly,” the communication stated, soliciting input to realize the vision of constructing a Viksit Bharat.
