A viral video showing subpar patchwork repairs on Mumbai’s Coastal Road has sparked a formal inquiry from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). The video, which highlights the northbound section near Haji Ali, has raised concerns over the quality of roadwork. The principal secretary to the Prime Minister shared the video with Maharashtra’s chief secretary, prompting immediate attention to the matter.
A Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) official confirmed the seriousness of the PMO’s inquiry, stating, “This is a significant issue, especially coming from the PMO.” The investigation aims to address the apparent lapse in road maintenance, ensuring that such repairs meet proper standards.
