Actress and filmmaker Pooja Bhatt expressed her discontent on social media regarding individuals singing in the Mumbai Metro during the Navratri festival. A viral video circulating on X (formerly Twitter) captured a group joyfully singing “Bharat Ka Baccha Baccha Jai Shri Ram Bolega” and other Gujarati garba songs while sitting on the floor of the metro.

While some praised the festive spirit and community bonding, Pooja questioned the appropriateness of such behavior in public spaces. In her post, she stated, “How is this permissible in a public space? It doesn’t matter if it’s Hindutva pop, Christmas carols, Bollywood blockbusters, or anything in between. Public spaces cannot be misused in this manner.”

She also criticized the authorities for permitting such activities and highlighted concerns about maintaining law and order, referencing recent incidents involving illegal activities and safety issues in the city.

On the work front, Pooja will star alongside Suniel Shetty in an upcoming thriller project and was last seen in the drama series Big Girls Don’t Cry.
