New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu will address the nation at 7 pm today, August 14, on the eve of India’s 80th Independence Day, in her annual message reflecting on the country’s journey, achievements and aspirations.

The President’s address will be broadcast across the national network of Akashvani and telecast live on all Doordarshan channels. The official announcement from the President’s Secretariat confirms the 7 pm broadcast time.

Address to be broadcast in Hindi and English

The address will first be telecast in Hindi, followed by the English version. Doordarshan’s regional channels will subsequently broadcast the address in various regional languages.

Akashvani will air regional-language versions at 9.30 pm through its respective regional networks, allowing audiences across the country to follow the President’s message in their preferred languages.

People can watch the address through the national and regional networks of Doordarshan and Akashvani. The broadcast will also be available through official digital platforms of Prasar Bharati and Doordarshan.

The address comes a day before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Independence Day speech from the Red Fort on August 15.
