Prayagraj: A viral video has brought to light chaotic scenes at Bishop Johnson Girls School in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, showing Principal Parul Solomon being forcefully removed from her position amid accusations of involvement in a multi-crore exam paper leak scam.

The footage, which has sparked widespread attention, captures school staff led by the institution’s chairman entering Ms. Solomon’s office and demanding her immediate departure. Despite her attempts to resist, she was physically removed from her chair, and her phone was confiscated. The incident concluded with Sherlyn Massey being installed as the new principal, met with applause from onlookers.

The scandal revolves around the alleged leak of the February 11 UPPSC Review Officer-Assistant Review Officer (RO-ARO) exam paper. The UP Special Task Force (STF) arrested ten individuals in connection with the leak, including a staff member from the school. Bishop Maurice Edgar Dan of the Diocese of Lucknow has implicated Ms. Solomon in the scandal, leading to her removal.

Ms. Solomon has filed a complaint, alleging mistreatment by several individuals, including Bishop Dan, during her removal. Bishop Dan refutes these allegations, asserting that video evidence shows no physical contact occurred during the incident.

The police have registered a case based on Ms. Solomon’s complaint, and investigations into both the alleged paper leak and the events surrounding her removal are ongoing.
