New Delhi: AICC President Rahul Gandhi arrived in Simla on Tuesday, December 19, along with his sister Priyanka Vadra and her children. He is currently taking the much-needed break after the hectic election campaign in the five state elections.
The Gandhis had Maggi noodles and chai from a dhaba on Wednesday. They visited a school for differently abled children on Thursday and Rahul played a game of chess with the local teens.
A local Congress leader said that Priyanka was constructing a house in Charabra and hence the Gandhis had travelled to Simla by road to visit the construction site.
“I have no official information about Rahul’s visit to Himachal,” Himachal Pradesh Congress president Sukhwinder Sukhu was quoted as saying.
Rahul Gandhi is holidaying in Simla after the party emerged victorious in the assembly elections of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh.
