New Delhi: The Ministry of Railways has reiterated that all passengers travelling on Reservation Against Cancellation (RAC) tickets in eligible air-conditioned coaches must be provided with a complete bedroll kit, following repeated complaints about the non-availability of linen and blankets.
The directive has been issued after the ministry received complaints from nearly all railway zones regarding RAC passengers not being provided with bedroll kits despite existing Railway Board instructions.
Ministry reiterates existing guidelines
In a letter dated August 4, the Ministry of Railways reminded all railway zones that RAC passengers travelling in AC coaches, except AC Chair Car, are entitled to the same bedroll facilities as other confirmed passengers.

It noted that RAC passengers should receive a complete bedroll kit, including linen and blankets, similar to other bona fide passengers travelling in the same coach.
