In a shocking robbery on Sunday night, three unidentified individuals targeted a jewellery shop in Pune, assaulting the elderly owner and stealing gold. According to the police, the incident took place around 9:30 p.m. at Arihant Jewellers, located on B.T. Kawade Road in Borate Wasti.
The robbers entered the shop, threatened the 78-year-old owner, Walchand Achaldas Oswal, and allegedly assaulted him before spraying pepper spray in his eyes. The attackers then stole approximately 40 grams of gold from the shop and fled the scene on a motorcycle.
After receiving information about the incident, local police teams rushed to the location to investigate. An FIR has been filed at the Wanwadi police station, and special teams have been assigned to track down the suspects.
The authorities have asked the public to come forward with any relevant information that could aid in the investigation. The police are working diligently to identify and apprehend the criminals involved in this violent robbery.
