New Delhi: Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, and Sundar Pichai, CEO of Alphabet, have been recognized as the most influential global Indians in the HSBC Hurun Global Indians List 2024, each receiving 56% of the votes from survey participants. Following these tech giants, Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, garnered 28% of the votes, while Neal Mohan, CEO of YouTube, received 27%. Vaibhav Taneja, CFO of Tesla, secured 22% of respondents’ votes.
The survey, conducted by Hurun India, was based on internal data, including insights from over 400 wealth-creators and participants from the Hurun Rich List, Hurun Future Unicorn Index, and Hurun India 500. Among the youngest to be featured was Tanay Tandon, 27-year-old co-founder and CEO of Commure, along with Aravind Srinivas, 30, co-founder and CEO of Perplexity.
The list covered individuals from varying age groups, from the young Tanay Tandon to the 84-year-old Gopichand Hinduja. It highlighted that 57% of those listed were first-generation business founders, with 41% being professionals and 2% inheritors. Additionally, 12 women were named leaders in the list, with Neha Narkhede, Anjali Sud, Yamini Rangan, Leena Nair, and Revathi Advaithi standing out as industry leaders collectively overseeing companies valued at $436 billion, surpassing Malaysia’s GDP.
