Gwalior: Indian woman Anju, a mother of two, married her Facebook friend on Tuesday in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Her father Gaya Prasad Thomas, a resident of Gwalior on Wednesday said that she is dead for him as she left home. He also said that he is not going to approach or appeal to the Indian government to bring her back. “She is dead to us, ‘let her die there”, he said.
“If this is what she wanted to do, then she should have first divorced her husband and told him. Now, her husband’s and the two kids’ lives are also ruined. Who will be responsible for their upbringing now?”
Talking to the media on Monday in an interview, Gayaprasad, who converted to Christianity many years ago, had claimed that his daughter is mentally ill and he has not been in touch with her for the last 20 years and had no idea about her relationship with Nasrullah.
Anju Wagha (34), a resident of India, crossed the border and went to Pakistan and got married to her Pakistan lover Nasrullah(29), on Tuesday at a local district and sessions court. Anju also changed her religion and embraced Islam, by changing her name as Fatima.
