Six lower-rung Naxalites were arrested in Bijapur district, Chhattisgarh, on Saturday, with explosives recovered during the operation, according to the police. The arrests were made by a joint team comprising the 196th battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), the 205th battalion of CRPF’s elite Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA), and local police. The operation took place in the Galgam, Nadpalli, and Futapalli forest areas as part of an area domination exercise. Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
