In light of increasing tensions between India and Pakistan, the Indian Army is recalling soldiers on leave, urging them to return to their duties promptly. One such soldier, Hanumantaraya Ause, a CRPF personnel from Dutturgaum village in Aland taluk, had been home to support his wife through childbirth and to spend time with his newborn son. However, as border conflicts escalated, he received an emergency call to report back to Srinagar, Jammu, and he immediately set off on his journey back.

Hanumantaraya, who has dedicated 20 years to the CRPF, bid an emotional farewell to his family at Kalaburagi railway station before departing for Hyderabad and eventually to Jammu. Reflecting on his duty, he stated, “I had come on leave from April 25 to May 25, but the situation at the border called for me to return. The safety of my country comes first; family is always second. I proudly report back to my duty despite the cut-short leave.”

Similarly, Siddappa, a BSF soldier from Babaleshwar taluk, Vijayapura district, was also called back to duty from his leave and is now headed to West Bengal, again via Hyderabad.

These acts of duty highlight the unwavering commitment of soldiers, putting the nation above personal commitments in these challenging times.
