In a tragic incident, a 31-year-old man, Krishan Kant, allegedly murdered his mother, Geeta, after suspecting that she was practicing black magic to stop him from moving to Canada. The incident, which occurred on November 6, was discovered when Apollo Hospital notified the police about a woman with multiple stab wounds who had been brought in dead.

Upon investigating, police learned that Krishan called his father, Surjeet, after committing the murder, asking him to come home. When Surjeet, a property dealer, arrived at the house, Krishan led him to the first floor, locked him in, and fled. On reaching the first floor, Surjeet found his wife lying in a pool of blood. He rushed her to a hospital, but she was declared dead upon arrival.

Based on Surjeet’s complaint, police registered a murder case and arrested Krishan. During interrogation, Krishan admitted to killing his mother after years of frustration over his failed attempts to move to Canada. He believed that his mother’s insistence on him marrying before leaving and her supposed use of black magic were the reasons behind his unsuccessful efforts. Desperate to leave, Krishan attacked Geeta with a knife, which he had bought days before the murder.

Police suspect that the murder followed an argument about marriage and Krishan’s plans to go abroad. The family, residing in Jaitpur, also includes Krishan’s younger brother, Sahil, who works at a bank.
